The A.R.E.M.E of Babylon Chapter #179 sponsored a run in October of 2010 and decided to name Have a Heart for Sickle Cell Anemia, a beneficiary to a portion of the proceeds. The following are the words from the letter that accompanied the donation:

We, at A.R.E.M.E of Babylon Chapter #179, have raised $1,650.00 for you organization. In October of last year, we sponsored a run here on Victory Base Complex in Baghdad, Iraq. The run was a success as we had over 600 participants. We felt like your organization was a good one and wanted to help out in any way possible. This is just a small token of our appreciation of the work that you all at Have-A-Heart for Sickle cell do. As we in the chapter know several people who are affected by this disease. We hope that this small contribution can and will make a huge difference in the lives of all those that you help.
